Saturday Night Cook Out, April 7, 2018 The GSPCI Hunting Test Committee invites you to join us after the Hunting Test concludes on Saturday afternoon for our famous GSPCI Saturday Night Cook Out! A nominal donation gets you a meal along with all the fixings cooked to perfection. Plan now to stay for the fun and enjoy a great meal and the company of your fellow pointing dog enthusiasts. Reserve your dinner on Saturday at the control desk.
Everyone is welcome to bring along a dish to share.
General Directions to the Des Plaines State Fish and Wildlife Area: Located ten miles south of Joliet and 55 miles southwest of Chicago in Will County, the site is accessible from Interstate 55 (south of I 80), exit 241 (North River Road).
Directions to the West Grounds (Check in Station): From the North River Road exit continue to the top of the ramp and turn right (west) on River Road. Follow the road along past the trap and archery ranges. The check in station is the building in the parking lot on the right (east side).
Food: Lunch will be available on the grounds for a donation both days.
Special Notice: The state of Illinois requires all participants of a Hunting Test and Field Trial to carry a valid hunting license and habitat stamp. This included gunners, handlers and scouts. The law does not apply to non-residents who wish to participate in these events. The sponsoring club will obtain a waiver of license for non-resident participants.
