"Dedicated to the Breed"
The German Shorthaired Pointer Club of Illinois was established in 1948, founded by a dedicated group of German Shorthaired Pointer owners and breeders from the Greater Chicago Metropolitan Area. Our founders wanted to help advance the popularity of this outstanding dog breed.
Ownership of a German Shorthaired Pointer is not a requirement for membership in the club.
We hold general membership meetings six times a year. In addition, we have several other educational and fun events including field training, mock hunt tests, conformation workshops, agility outings, guest speakers at meetings, and more!
Sounds like fun? It is! Scroll down to the Membership Application section and join our Club. Many of our benefits are limited to GSPCI members only. Take a look around our website to learn more about us and the German Shorthaired Pointer!
